Miosotis Salazar

As a teacher I enjoy watching our students grow and seeing the satisfaction on
their faces when they achieve some accomplishment, whether big or small.

Miosotis Salazar joined the CtRCS faculty and staff in the 2024-25 school year as the 4th-8th grade Spanish Teacher. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Miosotis believes that children are the future builders of society, and being part of their development is both important and rewarding.

Prior to joining CtRCS, Miosotis worked as a classroom paraprofessional, earning the "Outstanding Classroom Paraprofessional of the Year 2022-2023" award for her dedication to supporting ESL students. With a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Dominicana O&M, and currently pursuing a master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, Miosotis brings a unique combination of technical and educational expertise to the classroom.

Miosotis has been married to her husband, Angel, for 34 years, and together, they have three children, three grandchildren, and a baby on the way. When not teaching, Miosotis enjoys traveling, cross-stitching, and crocheting.
