“I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. My mom was a 1st grade teacher for 31 years in Austin, Texas and I remember playing school in her classroom and at home when she would bring extra materials. I have always looked up to her and was blessed to grow up with her as a role model.”
Megan Reyna enjoys providing students with the skills that will help them become productive members of our society and incorporating the teachings of God's love in the classroom. She looks forward to connect students interests to learning while finding new ways to teach through technology at CtRCS!
Megan grew up in Austin, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2008. She moved to Houston in 2008 to complete her student teaching through Texas State. She is certified in English-as-a-Second Language and can teach Gifted and Talented students. Previously, she was a 3rd grade math and science teacher at Bang Elementary in Cy-Fair Independent School District since August 2009 where she was on the Blended Learning Initiative Team and helped implement differentiated instruction using Google Classroom.
Megan and her husband, Raul, met in college at Texas State and have been married since 2009. They live in Cypress and have two young children, Maya and Mason. She enjoys spending quality time with family, going to the Houston Texans, Texas State Bobcats and Houston Astros games.
