Mary Crenshaw is the oldest of eight children and you can bet her younger siblings were her students. She began sharing her passion for literature and desire for lifelong learning at a young age and continues to do that as a working professional.
Mary was born and raised in San Fernando Valley, Calif. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., in 1989. She later received her Hawaii State Department of Education Certificate for elementary in 1993 and taught 6th grade in Hawaii for two years at Hale Kula Elementary School. Mary relocated to Houston in 1993. She taught 1st grade at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School and has been at CtRCS as a 1st grade teacher since 2015.
She currently lives in Cypress and enjoys reading and traveling to explore new places and experience different cultures.
