“I have always loved school! Early in my career, I seriously considered changing course to pursue a degree in education, and both times, that door was closed. Almost twenty years later, in His perfect time, the Lord led me to my true calling: to use my business experience in service to the Catholic schools.”
Kathy Schwarzbach joined the CtRCS staff in the summer of 2020, masked up and excited to join the administrative team. She is a native Houstonian who also spent her childhood years in Midland, Texas. Kathy holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Texas.
A CPA by profession, Kathy began her career at Deloitte before working in the energy industry for ten years, with a focus on financial reporting. A decision to stay home with her young children led to many volunteer roles at their school, then known as John Paul II. When she was invited to join the school staff as the first business manager, Kathy joyfully accepted and launched her second career. She served at JPII for 11 years and then moved to Cristo Rey Jesuit, where she served for six years in the mission to provide a Catholic college-prep education to Houston’s most underserved students.
Kathy and her husband, Mike (an avid Texas Aggie), have been married for 32 years. They have two grown children who both live on the West Coast. Kathy is very active in the music ministry at St. Edith Stein. She and Mike are huge sports fans, especially for the Astros, and enjoy traveling to places near and far.
