“My favorite thing about being a teacher is having the opportunity to help students see that they can be successful and wonderful members of society. Each student has unique talents and traits, and I want to help them see that and share those talents with the world.”
Catholic school has played an important role in Kassi Chase’s life. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she attended a private Catholic school from Kindergarten through 8th grade. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Middle School Math and Science from Texas A&M University. She holds several certifications in education including those relating to pedagogy and math and science. She began her teaching career teaching 6th grade math, science and religion at Mary Immaculate Catholic School in Farmers Branch, Texas. Her work experience includes teaching science dissection courses at DECATS, as well as, cheerleading, dance and iMovie using iPads. She most recently was a 6th grade science teacher at Morton Ranch Junior High in Katy Independent School District. She also received the Work of Heart Award for being an outstanding contributor to Catholic education in 2012.
She and her husband got married and moved to Houston in the summer of 2015 and currently live in the Energy Corridor off of I-10. Kassi enjoys the outdoors and a good cookout. She also enjoys dancing, reading and decorating for the holidays.
