Gloria Bowring was inspired to be a teacher while volunteering at the British/American School in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. She returned to school and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.
Gloria began her career teaching first and second grades in Jupiter, Florida. After moving to Houston, Texas, in 2012, she spent six years teaching middle school Language Arts and Literature at St. John Paul II Catholic School, and in 2013 began teaching at Christ the Redeemer in grades 6 and 7.
"I am excited to be on the 4th-grade team and look forward to helping instill a love of reading and writing in students," she said.
Gloria and her husband have been married for 28 years and have three children. Abigail is a sophomore at Texas A&M University, Ashley is a senior at St. Agnes Academy, and Andrew is a 7th grader at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Her family attends St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Gloria enjoys reading, traveling, and making memories with family and friends.
