“My motto is ‘Think like a kid and have fun!’ I've always believed that and I strive to make sure 'my kids' (students) enjoy learning! I’m excited about my new journey at CtRCS and I’m looking forward to meeting your family. My priority is to make sure 'my kids’ (students) feel welcomed, loved and excited to be at school.”
As early as age 5, Dina Quinteros knew she wanted to be a teacher. She would play school with her dolls and younger brothers. When she was 13, she began cleaning the church and church grounds, serving the homeless and volunteering with the preschoolers. She considered becoming a nun, but later became a teacher’s aide in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she found her calling.
Dina grew up in California but moved to Houston after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. She studied at the University of Houston-Victoria, where she graduated with honors in Early Childhood through 4th grade elementary education in 2005. She has taught in Cy-Fair Independent School District since 2005 and is now excited to work at a Catholic school for the first time. She is a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton where she volunteered in the CCE and Life Teen programs with Pre-k through high school students, in both bilingual and English programs.
Dina and her husband live in Copperfield with their two kids, Brandon and Virginia, three dogs and two guinea pigs. Fun fact: Dina and her husband met when she was just 5 years old! They lost contact for 10 years, but reconnected as young adults and have been together ever since. Dina and her husband like working in the garden, taking long walks with their puppies, going on dates, drinking coffee and trying new pastries.
