“What an amazing opportunity to be a part of this brand new school community. My family and I have been attending Christ the Redeemer Church for about seven years now. We love this parish and Father Sean! Working for the school and being one of the Founding Families is a dream come true!”
Christy Roberts said the opportunity to excite a student about the content, support them in their challenges of personal and educational growth, and celebrate their successes inspires her.
Christy was born and raised in Houston. She and her husband have lived in Connecticut and London, England, for his work. They’ve been back in Texas since about 2006 – they missed it terribly – and she has been teaching since 1993. Christy graduated from University of St. Thomas – Houston in 1991. She was previously a 4th grade teacher at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Houston, where she was very involved with the Student Council program. In Houston, she has also worked at Our Lady of Guadalupe School as a 1st grade teacher, St. Michael Catholic School as a 2nd and 4th-6th grade and reading resource teacher, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic School as a 6th-8th grade English language arts teacher.
Christy currently lives in Cypress with her husband, Bryan, and two children, Bryce, who is in high school, and Brooke, who will be attending CtR Catholic School. She enjoys spending time with her family and their two German Shepherds, Marley and Roxy. She also likes going to movies, restaurants and traveling.
