“It is such a blessing to be a role model for a room full of children just waiting to be molded even more into incredible people. Every word a teacher says and every reaction they have to a situation or smile that they freely share, is an experience for a student that can shape the person that they will become. That, coupled with rewarding smiles, hugs and successful moments from the children, remind me that I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else in life!”
From the moment Anna Fleming stepped into the hallway at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School, she could feel that this school was so much more than a school full of teachers and students. She said it is a home full of family members! As a new 2nd grade teacher at CtRCS for 2016-17, Anna cannot wait to share her faith with her class while walking the walk with them and leading them closer to Christ through her own example.
Anna was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2012. She also holds Texas Educator Certificates in EC-6 Generalist and EC-6 English-as-a-Second Language. Most recently she was a 1st grade teacher at Pattison Elementary in Katy Independent School District since 2012, where she was the team leader for 1st grade and also served on several committees. She was a nominee for Teacher of the Year in 2015-16 while at Pattison. She has also been a private tutor and a nanny.
She and her husband, Brendan, were married in the summer of 2016, and they live in Houston. Brendan is finishing up his last year of law school at South Texas College of Law. Anna enjoys reading, traveling with her husband, hiking, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.
