Steps for Students: We Made It to the Finish Line

The Annual Steps for Students 5K Run/Walk raises awareness and support for Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Christ the Redeemer Catholic School participates each year alongside all other Catholic schools in the Greater Houston area.

One hundred percent of proceeds raised by Team CtR through registration and donations is returned to CtRCS to support its mission through curriculum enhancements, increased enrichment programs, teacher training and development, athletic program growth, technology needs, faith-based education and more. 

 

In 2017, more than 600 students, parents, parishioners and friends joined Team CtR in celebrating Catholic education. The school received more than $85,000 in donations to fund its mission of excellence in Catholic education in northwest Houston.

 

A special congratulations to Julia Gnuechtel (2nd place; 20th overall among females) and Sarah Leach (4th place) for finishing in the top five of their age bracket in the 2017 race. CtR parishioner Holly Strapulos finished first in her age group. Go Crusaders!
