Students Test Scientific Method with Bubbles

Our students are practicing the scientific method at CtRCS! The scientific method is seven steps

1. Problem
2. Research
3. Hypothesis
4. Experiment/data
5. Analyze
6. Conclusion
7. Communicate

A fun mnemonic device that helps people remember the scientific method is People Really Hate Eating Donuts And Cold Cider.

Mr. Guhl led our middle school students in an experiment where they tested different solutions of dish-washing liquid. They had four different types of liquid that they poured on to their lab tables. From there, one person tested each of the liquids by seeing which liquid would make the biggest bubbles. One student recorded the data to find which liquid allowed for blowing the biggest bubbles! It was a fun experiment and the students enjoyed the teamwork.
