As I write to you during these uncertain times, I hold one thing certain in my heart - the strenght of our CtRCS community. Despite having to stay far apart, CtRCS community has "come together", like never before. The administrative team, along with our faculty and staff have been tireless in their efforts to create, organize, and soon implement a Distance Learning Program from the ground up. Our teachers worked diligently to organize materials for easy pick up by our families yesterday. We were overjoyed by how well our families responded to these extraordinary circumstances. We thank you for your patience, flexibility, kind words, your prayers. Please know that CtRCS holds you in our prayers as well.
We understand the coming weeks will be a true test of perseverance, patience, and huge learning curves as you manage jobs, families, and yes, new roles as home school teacher assistants! To that end, we want to assure that we are aiming to provide a Distance Learning Program that is CtRCS Teacher/Student focused, challenging, engaging, and yet manageable for students, parents, and teachers alike.
We have created a new section of our website - The CtRCS Distance Learning Program, or
DLP. We hope to provide answers to your questions, and provide the guidance needed to help you help your child(ren) throughout this journey.
With regard to communication; we will continue to send out our weekly Crusader Chronicle on Thursdays and class flocknotes on Friday. Both of these communications will be
vital in keeping up with the latest school-wide news, along with grade-level information.
Finally, please be sure to fill out the
ATTENDANCE FORM each week, which is located on the
"Attendance!" page of the DLP website. This document is the official means of attendance for our DLP, and is mandatory for promotion to the next grade level. Distance learning begins offically on Monday, March 23rd as well as official record keeping for attendance. Please note: not child will be marked absent for this extra week of Spring Break.
Again, if you have ideas, questions, or concerns thoughout this process, please contact us.
