Congratulations to fifth-grade teacher
Lisa Sansbury, the first CtRCS teacher to receive certification through the National Institute for STEM Certification. Christ the Redeemer Catholic School continues to work on its certification as eight teachers, along with campus administration, actively engage in professional development and training to add a nationally recognized certificate to their teaching credentials.
Sansbury said as a student herself, she was given opportunities to engage in a variety of STEM-based curriculum. It is her hope to provide the same opportunities to her students to help them become effective problem solvers and innovators.
"The NISE program provided me with the tools to routinely evaluate my classroom instruction allowing me to effectively modify and provide students with high interest, authentic, learning opportunities,” Sansbury said. “I look forward to introducing a variety of STEM strategies into the classroom curriculum.”
