CtRCS Teacher Completes National STEM Certification

Congratulations to fifth-grade teacher Aileen Schwab who received certification through the National Institute for STEM Education. Mrs. Schwab is the third teacher to earn this achievement among the group of educators at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School working toward the certification.

CtRCS continues to work on its certification as five teachers, along with campus administration, actively engage in professional development and training to add a nationally recognized certificate to their teaching credentials.

As an educator, Mrs. Schwab said, she is always looking for ways to engage her students in meaningful learning experiences.

"This certification allowed me to critically analyze various aspects of teaching and learning in order to best serve my students," she said. "The experience has given me a more intentional lens to design lessons and assessments as well as capitalize on time and foster classroom relationships."
