To honor and support United States service men and women overseas, Christ the Redeemer Catholic School participated in Operation Gratitude. Students donated their Halloween Candy and wrote letters to those who are serving our country. Packing 10 boxes full, each box includes toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste that the students also donated. It only makes sense to give new toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste with all that candy. The 10 boxes will be shipped overseas for service men and women to enjoy.
To truly make this a S.T.R.E.A.M. (science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and math) project, the 3rd grade students were in charge of sorting and graphing the different types of candy. All grade levels created Veteran's Day cards with special notes that were included in each box. CtRCS 3rd grade students were also the leaders who packed the boxes and got them ready for shipping. The boxes were shipped to Operation Gratitude/California Army National Guard and will then be dispersed overseas.
